Knowing a little bit more about stacking now, and also having discovered that great G’Mic plugin called “wavelet sharpen,” I tried to clean up my bad super moon pictures from earlier this winter.

And here it is stacked a little better and sharpened with wavelets:
It is starting to get that weird, unnatural, “embossed” look to it at the edges, but you can definitely see some more detail, and it looks a little more like the moon and a little less like looking at the moon through the bottom of a Coke bottle.
